I am delighted by the few things we had for breakfast at hotel Gela. The first thing that surprised me was how many foods they prepare on premises – cheeses, jams and preserves, relishes, breads and many other stuff. But my favorite is the homemade yogurt. The milk comes from the local cows and we were assured that only the freshest goes to the kitchen. They then add a local bacteria culture is, and the next day, voila, the yogurt arrives on your table.

We had it for breakfast with homemade raspberry, blackberry or blueberry preserves, but the next morning we tried it with hone. And it’s equally good.
